Job Title: Business Continuity Management (BCM) Coordinator
Location: Ideally Nottingham (or Milton Keynes or Hatfield are options) with hybrid and some travel
The role will be UK based and you need to either hold or be prepared to obtain security clearance

We have a new opportunity as a Business Continuity Co-ordinator where you will support the Group BCM team in their roles, governing and facilitating BCM activities across Computacenter.
Your main responsibilities will include tasks aligned to our annual lifecycle of activities, so you’ll become familiar with all aspects of Business Continuity, from plans to BIAs and also support the logistics needed to run our extensive global exercise programme.
What you’ll do
You role will be to support the Head of BCM and BCM Manager(s) and analyst(s) to ensure effective completion of all BCM related activities, aligned to our annual lifecycle of events, such as supporting the BCP / Grab and Go review cycles, Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and GOBRA completion via our network of BCM champions and in line with set deadlines.
Quality assurance of BCPs written in German / French / English and supporting new plans being created, aligned to business growth.
To schedule and facilitate (with training / support being given until familiar) some BCM exercises, supporting our global exercise programme across Group and Crisis Management Teams. Support the Head of BCM in driving the BCM agenda forward to raise the profile of BCM and build knowledge across the business.
- Provide general guidance to internal contacts on BCM activities across Group. (training / support being given until familiar)
- Manage the BCM mailbox and respond to queries in a timely manner in line with our published SLA.
- Support the Head of BCM and BCM manager and other CC teams such as legal / sales / delivery teams to ensure BCM is appropriately represented.
- Support the completion of cyclical deliverables and projects relevant to BCM, such as Exercises, Plan updates GOBRA submissions and BIA’s, escalating appropriately via Head of BCM.
- Develop yourself in the BCM arena, building BCM knowledge to an appropriate level, to enable effective support to the team and with external contacts as appropriate (such as Business Continuity Institute).
- Monitor that information in the BCM dashboard, and on SharePoint site(s) is being maintained.
- Monitoring for Organisational changes that need to be reflected in our tools.
- Provide appropriate support to other team members, for example, with admin tasks.
- Support the ongoing productive relationships and networks at Senior Manager level to build and maintain BCM on their agendas.
- Provide support to the annual completion of Director packs.
- Support in building a consistent BCM methodology across Group, aligned to Corporate BCM strategy and external bodies, such as ISO22301 and the BCI’s Good Practice Guidelines and adopt standardised terminology, promoting across the business in line with the BCIs glossary.
- Support the completion of BCM related induction and E+A training for appropriate members of staff, such as new DSRCs / new starters.
- Work towards acting as a Champion for BCM and Computacenter with internal and external contacts and build industry knowledge via external sources.
- Act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks in the appropriate manner.
- Provide support in any BCM / CMT invocations
What you’ll need
- Any experience or keen interest in Business Continuity Management (BCM) would be hugely advantageous
- Fluent in English, other languages advantageous but not a requirement
- Willingness to train in a relevant BCM professional qualification and knowledge of relevant globally recognised standard in BCM (ISO22301), BCI GPG as well as other regulations (e.g. DORA).
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail a must
- Good working knowledge of relevant systems, such as SharePoint.
- Experience in dealing with colleagues beyond one’s own team and building strong relationships.
- Supporting the team in preparing for internal and external Audits.
- Excellent Interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills
- A willingness to travel
