About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Modern Endpoint Principal Consultant to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding Consultancy Practice within Computacenter. We are made of up of over 1,000 skilled practitioners with deep expertise across core infrastructure technologies and industry standard architecture and project management methodologies.
The Principal Consultant role can be based from any of our US offices or fully remote but will involve some travel to customer locations or CC offices for trainings and engagements. Travel is estimated to be up to 15%.
As a Principal Consultant you will deliver both pre and post sales technical consultancy to our customers; lead teams of consultants in delivery engagements as well as providing pre-sales qualifications, bid responses and designs for consultancy engagements.
As a predominately client facing role you need proven skills in a customer facing position, designing and implementing multiple technologies to corporate or public sector organizations.

What you'll be doing

  • Serve as a technical point of contact in the design and delivery of Modern Endpoint solutions and provide subject matter expertise on different Modern Endpoint Platforms, Tools, and Technologies
  • Undertake consultancy assignments and as part of wider technology solutions working either on your own or as part of a wider delivery team for wider solutions
  • Assist with the gathering of data to help architects design new platforms for our clients
  • Attend and present at customer workshops and meetings
  • Provide technical support as requested, for internal and external customers
  • Produce/update all assignment documentation. Undertake knowledge transfer to customer or third-party personnel
  • Keep up to date with current and future technologies, products and strategies
  • Maintain vendor accreditations and certifications whilst driving your own enablement and training plans
  • In depth understanding of MDM and MAM solutions
  • In depth experience with Microsoft Entra Connect and how it relates to Windows Autopilot
  • Experience managing and leading Endpoint teams in medium and large enterprise environments
  • Adhering to management standards, security standards, good practice, and legislation
  • Deliver and lead on presales activities relating to Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager, solutions such as:
    • Designing, deploying, and configuring Microsoft Configuration Manager solutions with Cloud Management capabilities such as Co Management and Cloud Attach
    • Designing, deploying, and configuring Microsoft Intune solutions surrounding Windows, iOS, macOS and Android devices
    • Implementing Various Intune Device policies based on Customer requirements
    • Designing, deploying, and configuring Windows Autopilot with Intune Enrollment
    • Designing, deploying, and configuring Applications for delivery through Microsoft Intune or Microsoft Configuration Manager

What you have

  • 7+ years of Hands on Design and Delivery related work on Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager
  • Extensive knowledge in Application Packaging Models with both Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager
  • Extensive experience migrating Microsoft Configuration Manager to a new Microsoft Configuration Manager environment
  • In depth knowledge of Azure AD Joined and Hybrid Azure AD Joined workflows
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy, Active Directory, and Entra Active Directory
  • In depth knowledge of on-premise PKI Infrastructure as it relates to Co Management and Microsoft Cloud Management Gateway
  • Knowledge of (IBCM) Internet Based Client Management
  • Excellent knowledge of Conditional Access and Application Protection Policies
  • Excellent knowledge of Apple Business Manager and Integration into Microsoft Intune
  • Experience with leading teams on complex Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune deliverables, making decisions which impact the work assigned to individuals or phases of projects where necessary
  • Extensive experience with Zero Touch Imaging workflows
  • Experience with leading teams on complex Modern Endpoint solutions
  • Experience creating and reviewing commercial responses (SoWs, proposals, cost models etc.)
  • Exercises substantial personal responsibility, autonomy & a clear framework of accountability
  • Plans own work to meet given objectives and processes
  • Interacts with and influences colleagues and has working level contact with customers, suppliers and partners
  • Understands and collaborates on the analysis of user/customer needs and represents this in their work
  • Demonstrates a “Business First” approach when designing solutions matching business requirements to specific technology applications
  • Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who share common objectives
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution
  • Knowledge of scripting/automation skills using Powershell, or Powershell App Deploy Toolkit
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Framework
  • Experience with Bitlocker encryption
  • Knowledge of ADFS experience a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
  • Experience with HP MIK Tools, Dell Control/Command or HP Connection in Intune a plus
  • Good knowledge of networking topologies for Cloud or on-premise
  • Good understanding of Windows client / server operating systems and associated infrastructures
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems
  • Experience of team working on complex Modern Endpoint deliverables
  • Experience with other Modern Endpoint solutions such as Workspace One, Mobile Iron, Maas360, or JAMF is a huge plus
  • Experience with Apple Configurator a plus
  • Understanding of Microsoft CoPilot a plus
