About the role
The Reporting Developer role sits in the Business Support team, which is a team of specialists that advise, design, build and run discrete but essential reporting services for GTS, vendors and customers. The Reporting Developer will report into the Reporting Design and Production Group Manager and will work under supervision but will be expected to prioritize own workload and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Responsible for the design, programming, packaging and deployment of all:
    • New reports
    • System / applications used for the data management or production of reports
    • Interfaces and API constructs and schemes
    • Scheduling systems for automation
    • Can also cover Analyst activities as required.
  • Responsible for GTS reporting library
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and design & develop solutions
  • Representative to various councils / operating steering groups for reporting
  • Responsible for the application layer and technical layer of GTS reporting infrastructure
  • Responsible at a Management level for Reporting Production
  • Responsible for legislation adherence e.g. GDPR or Works Council Agreements
  • Responsible for the creation and publication of all Executive and Sensitive reports
  • Run rate daily production, monitoring and fixing of all reports sent out from Computacenter, all reports sent out to management layers for the running of GTS units, reports sent out to employees for the running of GTS units, reports sent out to customers and vendors based on requests received or based on contractual requirements
  • Manage the documentation of user requirements, new requirements, and changes to existing reports
  • Continuous further development of technical skills
  • Development and sharing of best practices within the Reporting & Analysis team at Group level
  • Support internal customer relationships
  • Liaise with BI team in IS on projects
  • Create and manage requirements on IS Engagement Portal
  • Create and manager incidents on NGSD
  • Manage changes to GTS active directory groups for access control of cubes and reporting applications
  • Ensure department meets SLA, KPI and OLA performance targets
  • Maintain and improve stakeholder satisfaction levels
  • Contribute in developing presentations to customers or management

What you have

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate SQL and SharePoint experience
  • Knowledge of Javascript, HTML, BI Office, Power BI, .net programming, front-end web development
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of SAP, MS Office and MS Teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
  • Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language.
  • Good self-organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Resilience, and able to deal with stressful situations.
  • Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills.
