We’re looking for a .NET Developer with German language skills to join our team and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of a web application designed for knowledge sharing among experts in the German sports sector.

This application provides a collaborative platform featuring user profiles, document sharing, and social-media-style interactions such as chat and networking. The platform is already publicly available and used by over 200 active users.

You’ll be part of a dynamic development team focused on maintaining and enhancing this live system in a technically modern environment.

This is a long-term remote opportunity.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities:
- Participate in analyzing requirements and writing technical specifications.
- Maintain and enhance an existing web application using .NET technologies.
- Design and implement new features with a focus on performance, scalability, and usability.
- Work with various databases including MySQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.
- Manage message-based communication using RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, and SignalR.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
- Optimize application performance and ensure system stability.
- Write and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with other team members (project managers, system architects, and QA) to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Follow best practices in version control and continuous integration using Git and Docker.

What you’ll need

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience with .NET technologies and web application development.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cosmos DB.
- Hands-on experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
- Familiarity with Azure SignalR Service for real-time features.
- Solid understanding of Dockerized environments and microservice architecture.
- Experience with Git and version control best practices.
- Strong knowledge of web application lifecycle, architecture, and performance tuning.
- Experience using Visual Studio 2022.
- Good use of German language (B2+).
