As the Financial Controller, you’ll be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing the integrity of our financial operations, leading a skilled finance team, and ensuring compliance with both local and global standards. You’ll partner with business leaders across functions, contribute to global financial reporting, and uphold our Winning Together values in everything you do.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together Values.
  • Oversee the Company’s revenue and inventory accounting and enforcement of related processes
  • Manage the treasury process, including cash forecasting, currency hedging, forex revaluation and central reporting obligations
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the accounting records, ensuring alignment with Group reporting timetables and leveraging central compliance recording tools (Floqast)
  • Coordinate the timely input to Group consolidation & reconciliation procedures (Adaptive) and champion the use of Group processes
  • Provide oversight and review of the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package which includes Balance Sheet, P&L production, Debtors/Creditors analysis and relevant periodic reconciliation accounts
  • Primary liaison with the auditors during external/statutory and internal audits, ensuring no significant control weaknesses are detected or material audit adjustments required.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring compliance with local legal/tax requirements and seeking increased internal efficiency where possible
  • Manage local Indian tax requirements to ensure compliant recording, reporting and declaration (IDT & DT)
  • Align and enforce accounting processes and internal controls across the organization – identify and lead the design and implementation of process improvements or control changes.
  • Monitor the company receivables data, highlighting overdue payments to relevant business areas
  • Create annual Balance Sheet and Cashflow forecasts
  • Support International functional management with queries/returns relating to Indian business
  • Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values in conjunction with Commercial Finance Team.
  • Assist the Commercial Finance team in completing the annual budget and quarterly forecast process
  • Collaborate with other departments on special projects as needed, including system upgrades, changes and testing

What you’ll need

  • Education & Experience: CA and/or CPA Essential
  • 15 - 20 years of relevant experience, with at least 10+ years in a senior finance role.
  • Extensive knowledge of stock accounting and warehouse management for product-based businesses
  • Strong knowledge and Experience of Local GAAP, with a focus on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Supervises, directs and controls the activities of assigned staff (G/L, A/R, A/P, Tax-IDT & DT).
  • Interviews, schedules, trains, and assigns work.
  • Establish appropriate metrics for operational productivity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong cross-functional and interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to create and implement effective processes & procedures
  • Ability to mentor & develop staff that operate in multiple disciplines
  • International exposure and working as part of a Global Group would be highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in an international matrix management environmen
  • Capable of managing projects to a deadline in a collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with a changing environment.
  • Knowledge of business software including MS Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint, and ERP Platforms – SAP experience is highly desirable.
  • Ensure a trained, motivated and professional staff capable of providing efficient and effective operations and exceptional customer service.
  • Establishes performance expectations and monitors results.
  • Develop and nurture a team to highlight strengths and raise the bar for talent.
  • Recommends the discipline and/or discharge of staff, while maintaining required personnel documentation.
  • Coaches and counsels’ staff, as necessary.
