As a Finance Analytics Developer, you’ll drive process improvements and automation within the Finance Reporting & Business Process Development Team. This Team Leader-equivalent role has no direct people management duties, but you will hold strong technical influence and act as a trusted advisor in key transformation initiatives. You will implement solutions within established designs and standards, with a clear growth path into broader solution ownership over time.

On a daily basis:

  • Modernise legacy automations: reverse‑engineer existing Excel/VBA solutions and implement agreed replacements using modern automation tools and team standards.
  • Build resilient workflows: create automation with robust error handling, logging, and clear recovery steps to minimise manual intervention.
  • Develop processing bots: build and maintain bots (VBA and/or Python) that support high‑volume Finance processes, including SAP data extraction/processing, with clear runbooks and controls.
  • Deliver through Agile execution: pick up well‑scoped tickets from the backlog, implement clean and documented logic, and support testing/release into production.
  • Operate as part of the build stream: collaborate closely with the Lead Analytics Engineer and BI Developer, contributing within established designs and standards.

You are the ideal candidate if…

  • You have a Hybrid Profile: A solid background in Finance/Controlling combined with a "Builder" mindset and a passion for technology.
  • You are an Automation Pro: You have tangible experience automating business processes using low-code tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) or scripting (VBA, Python).
  • You can read and understand existing VBA and translate its logic into more maintainable solutions.
  • You are comfortable handling SAP extracts and complex datasets with Power Query (structuring, validating, troubleshooting).
  • You have strong debugging and root‑cause thinking: you don’t just report issues, you prevent recurrence.
