The Bid Manager is responsible for organising all bid team activity following a defined bid process, delivering industry leading document submissions and facilitating the production of high-quality customer presentations.

What you'll do

Bid Project Management

  • Manage the end-to-end bid process: project manage the bid process and response from the receipt of the PQQ or RFP
  • Planning and administration of bid internal communication in the bid team and with other key stakeholders in the organisation (working closely with the bid opportunity owner)
  • Management of the virtual bid team and operational management of bid projects (in-time, in-quality, resource, deliverables) with the focus on the bid management of tasks in the bid team
  • Planning and tracking of agreed internal and external bid delivery dates and ensuring completeness and consistency of the respective contributors within the bid team

Bid Document Management

  • Planning and ownership of the handling the bid documents including ownership of bid collaboration portal for document management and effective collaborative working
  • Collects, prepares and integrates standard proposal content as well as customised bid content for the customer
  • Contributing to the written proposal (including providing guidance around the executive summary)
  • Responsible for the quality of offer documents and presentations (realisation of Bid and Presentation Story, format, spelling), taking into account the individuality of different customers
  • Closure of bid projects (provision of content for re-use into standard knowledge & bid libraries)

The Bid Manager is also expected to:

  • Support the documentation of bid strategy, differentiators, win themes, key messages and content for proposals and presentations
  • Support of customer specific campaigns, coordination of marketing support, ensuring Computacenter brand compliance
  • Participation of/in projects to increase effectiveness / efficiency of presales projects
  • Self-starting and results driven though clear prioritisation of bid deliverables, and management of bid activities to meet customer bid deadlines
  • Willingness to learn, to apply what has been learnt, to build up knowledge and experience
  • Delivery and promotion of Computacenter Group Bid Management Service
  • Contribution to Group Customer References programme for winning bids worked on

What you'll need

  • Adequate professional public sector bidding experience
  • Awareness of bidding industry and best practice (i.e. APMP, Shipley) - APMP certification (or similar) or equivalent qualification is desirable
  • Comparable experience in management of tasks and people delivering the tasks (without management responsibility)
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to use relevant company bid data sources
  • Managing and minimising risk to bid deliverables and ensuring we always have the customer and customer deliverables in mind
  • Experienced in document creation, collaboration and management using Office 365 tools including SharePoint, MS Teams etc.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities
  • Able to think creatively and find pragmatic solutions
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • You'll bring an authentic approach and humble mindset, being respectful and open to all cultures and backgrounds
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written in Dutch, French and English
