As part of our strategic initiative to enhance our own internal systems, we are launching a major global SAP S/4HANA transformation program. We are looking for an experienced and strategic Global SAP S/4HANA Transformation Programme Director with a strong finance background to lead this initiative.

As the Global SAP S/4HANA Transformation Programme Director at Computacenter, you will be responsible for leading the global implementation of SAP S/4HANA, with a strong focus on the finance function and processes. This role will require you to drive the entire transformation process, from the strategic planning phase through to successful implementation and business adoption. You will work closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the program meets our strategic goals, delivers value, and is executed on time and within budget.

What you’ll do

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Execute the roadmap for the global SAP S/4HANA finance transformation, ensuring alignment with Computacenter’s financial and business objectives.
    • Lead and provide strategic direction for the entire transformation program, with a particular focus on the finance function and its integration across the business.
    • Oversee the integration of SAP S/4HANA with existing systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal value delivery.
  • Program Management:
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the SAP S/4HANA finance transformation program across global regions.
    • Manage the program’s scope, timeline, budget, and resources, ensuring that all deliverables are met according to agreed-upon goals.
    • Establish program KPIs and ensure the program remains on track, proactively managing risks and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Finance Transformation Leadership:
    • Leverage your experience to align the SAP S/4HANA implementation with the latest financial best practices, processes, and controls.
    • Work closely with finance leaders to ensure that the SAP S/4HANA solution meets the needs of financial reporting, data analysis, and global finance operations.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Communicate with C-suite executives, senior leadership, and key stakeholders, providing regular updates on program progress, milestones, and financial impacts.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with business units and functional teams, ensuring their engagement and buy-in throughout the transformation process.
    • Ensure alignment between IT and finance stakeholders, driving a collaborative approach to successful program execution.
  • Change Management & Adoption:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy to ensure smooth adoption of SAP S/4HANA across the finance function and wider business.
    • Lead training and upskilling efforts, ensuring the finance teams and other business stakeholders have the knowledge and tools to successfully operate in the new SAP environment.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
    • Identify opportunities to optimize the SAP S/4HANA system and financial processes for ongoing improvement.
    • Stay informed on emerging SAP technologies and trends, and assess their potential to drive innovation within the finance function and across Computacenter.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading global IT transformation programs, with a specific focus on SAP S/4HANA finance implementations.
  • Extensive experience in finance operations, including accounting, reporting, financial planning, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules related to finance (e.g., FI/CO) and their integration with other business functions.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex, global transformation programs in an enterprise environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in financial systems integration and process reengineering.
  • Familiarity with global finance regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certifications are preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and third-party vendors.
  • Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions and emerging technologies within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset with a focus on business value and outcomes.
