About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, execution and management of one to many small to medium projects and/or a few large projects according to pre-determined scope, schedule and budgets. This position may include external client interactions and will act as dedicated support to medium and large-scale equipment provisioning, international logistics and field deployment projects running through the Integration Center (IC).

What you'll be doing

  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of project(s) throughout the project lifecycle, initiation through closure.
  • Facilitate the review of project scope, goals and deliverables both internally and externally.
  • Outline project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop a project task list (tracker), risk/issue/action tracker, project contacts tracker and a full scale project plan as required within Computacenter United States Inc’s approved applications and systems.
  • Assemble and coordinate project resources both internally, externally and with 3rd parties.
  • Manage project budget, resource allocation, project plan, project trackers and project timelines as required.
  • Track project deliverables and tasks using appropriate applications, systems, and/or tools.
  • Own and resolve any issues that arise during the project.
  • Be accountable for project results of staying on-budget, on-schedule, and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to project scope, tasks, deliverables, goals, resources, schedules and budgets.
  • Communicate expectations to stakeholders and team, gaining acceptance.
  • Identify resources required to fulfill project delivery, collaborating with other Program Managers, the Resource Management Group and other groups as required to determine which project resources are available in order to schedule project workload and make assignments.
  • Oversee all products and corresponding issues (software licensing, shipment logistics, DOA's, late or changed shipment dates) are coordinated with customer and Computacenter United States Inc Sales and Engineering teams.
  • Provide status reporting throughout the project to internal and external stakeholders on progress against project schedule, and any issues and their accompanying mitigations.
  • Quickly escalate to next level of management and/or senior management any project related issues/risks that will impact the project negatively.
  • Ensure all project team timecards, expense reports, status reports, issue documentation, project tracker(s), project plan(s) and project documentation are entered and/or updated into the Computacenter United States Inc ap-plications & systems in a timely fashion, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Obtain client sign-off on the Project Completion Form.
  • Perform invoicing and project closure functions including sending and following up on Customer Satisfaction Survey’s.

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Project Management within the IT industry.
  • PMI certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Qualification in project management.
  • Knowledge of equipment warehousing, supply chain management and international shipping logistics.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Direct work experience in project management capacity.
  • Excellent customer interfacing skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in effective meeting facilitation.
  • Proven experience in people management.
  • Proven experience in issue & risk management.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with peers.
  • Ability to problem solve and perform analysis.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts, terms and practices used in the assessment and implementation of IT Infrastructure and Services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
  • Eligibility for Secret Clearance which is minimum 10 years in country and Canadian citizenship.
