About the role
We are looking for a highly organized and technically capable Project Manager – Warehouse Automation to lead complex initiatives across our distribution and fulfillment network. This role plays a central part in designing, coordinating, and delivering projects that integrate advanced technologies such as robotics, conveyor systems, and warehouse software platforms (WMS, WCS, MES).

You’ll partner with stakeholders across operations, IT, engineering, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution from planning through go-live—helping us scale automation capabilities to meet growing business needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Project Leadership & Execution
    • Drive the full project lifecycle for warehouse automation initiatives—from initial planning through implementation and stabilization.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, budgets, and resource needs.
    • Facilitate working sessions to define construction needs, vendor requirements, technical documentation plans, and operational workflows.
  • Governance & Planning
    • Establish and maintain project governance structures, including steering committees, weekly reporting cadences, and risk reviews.
    • Create and manage project documentation including RAID logs, RACIs, vendor lists, implementation timelines, and SteerCo templates.
    • Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure all deliverables are aligned with scope, budget, and risk expectations.
  • Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination
    • Coordinate input from engineering, IT, operations, and external vendors to align all phases of system design, build, and integration.
    • Support the development of plans for vendor engagement, contract execution, and third-party deliverable tracking.
    • Oversee the definition of physical infrastructure, system throughput requirements, and technical specifications in collaboration with SMEs.
  • Status Reporting & Communication
    • Provide consistent status updates and program dashboards to stakeholders, executives, and steering committees.
    • Manage stakeholder engagement across workstreams, ensuring participation in governance forums and timely input into planning cycles.
    • Deliver polished, professional documentation to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Automation, or a related field (Master’s or PMP certification is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large-scale projects, with at least 2 years in warehouse automation or industrial systems deployment.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse technologies, including material handling systems (conveyors, AMRs/AGVs), robotics, and WMS/WCS platforms.
  • Strong experience in project governance, risk management, and vendor coordination within a fast-paced logistics or fulfillment environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to interface with both technical teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience leading warehouse automation projects in a greenfield or brownfield setting.
  • Familiarity with integration testing phases such as FAT/SAT and ramp-up support.
  • Exposure to lean/six sigma or continuous improvement environments.
  • Experience aligning third-party implementation partners within a structured delivery framework.
