Our selection process is designed to help us get to know you beyond your application. It's also an opportunity for you to learn more about Computacenter, our culture and what a career in technology sales could look like. Throughout the process, you'll meet colleagues from across the business, gain insight into the work we do and have the chance to demonstrate your strengths, potential and motivation.

Once you join, you'll become part of a global community of Sales Associates beginning their careers across the UK, Europe and the US.

Key dates to keep in mind

Applications open on 23 September 2026 and may close early if we receive sufficient applications. The selection process runs from September to December 2026, with assessment centres held in February 2027. The programme starts on 6 September 2027.

30 MINUTES
Stage 1- Online Application

Just fill out our online application form, upload your CV, and answer a few quick questions to help us get to know you. Once we’ve received your application, we’ll take a look and see how your skills and interests match up with what we’re looking for. If everything lines up and you meet the programme criteria, we’ll invite you to the next stages.

10-15 MINUTES
Stage 2 - Telephone screening call

You'll be invited to book a short 10–15 minute call with one of our recruiters. We'll talk about your interest in the programme, and you'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the role, the selection process or what to expect next. Following the call, we'll review your application and, if there's a good match, invite you to progress to the next stage of the process.

35-45 MINUTES
Stage 3 - Online assessment

You'll be invited to complete an online assessment designed to help us understand your potential and how you approach different situations. You'll have seven days to complete it and it should take around 35-45 minutes. The assessment includes a short case study and a series of questions that allow you to demonstrate your problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills.

15-30 MINUTES
Stage 4 - Video assessment

If you meet the benchmark for the online assessment, you'll be invited to complete a short video interview. You'll have 7 days to complete the assessment and answer 1-3 questions, with up to 1 minute for each response.

The assessment can be completed on your phone, tablet or laptop, and you'll have unlimited attempts before submitting. Once submitted, we'll review your responses and let you know whether you've progressed to the next stage.

60 MINUTES
Stage 5 - Face-to-face interview

Held at our newly refurbished Blackfriars office in London, this is an opportunity to meet one of our senior sales leaders and a programme alumnus who was once in your position. You'll also get a feel for our working environment and see where you could be based.

The interview will focus on your skills, experience, motivation and potential, including any sales or customer-facing experience you've gained and your interest in a career in technology sales. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about us and the Technology Sales Graduate Programme.

2 DAYS
Stage 6- Assessment centre

The final stage of the selection process takes place at Computacenter's UK and Group Headquarters in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

After an overnight stay and dinner with senior leaders, you'll take part in group exercises, interviews and presentations designed to showcase your strengths and potential. You'll be assessed by experienced members of our sales team and we'll let you know the outcome as soon as possible afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications do I need to apply?

We’re open-minded about your academic background. Got a degree or currently in your final year of university? Brilliant – any subject, any classification, you’re welcome to apply. No degree, but have 2–3 years’ experience in sales or a related role? We’d love to hear from you too. What matters most is your drive to grow, learn, and make an impact.

Can I apply for a job if I don’t meet the academic requirements?

If you don’t hold a degree, that’s not a problem! We welcome applications from non-graduates for our Professional Technology Sales Graduate Programme provided that you’ve 2-3 years’ relevant experience in sales or a related role.

What is the application deadline?

Applications for our 2026 intake are set to close by 30 November 2026 — but if we get lots of interest, we might close them earlier. So, if you’re thinking about applying, don’t hang around! Plus, the sooner you apply, the sooner you’ll move through the first stages of our selection process. It’s a great way to get ahead and start shaping your future with us!

How long does the selection process take?

We’ll run the initial stages of our selection process between September and December 2026. Once you’ve applied, you’ll be invited to complete a series of assessments to help us get to know you better.

If you’re successful at each stage, you’ll be invited to a final assessment centre, which will take place sometime in February 2027.

We know waiting can be tough, so we’ll keep you updated regularly and aim to keep things moving as quickly as we can.

What happens at an assessment centre?

The experience kicks off with an overnight stay, including dinner with our senior leadership team – a great chance to connect, ask questions and get inspired. The following day, you’ll take part in a fast-paced, interactive programme packed with group challenges, individual tasks, interviews and presentations.

What should I wear to the assessment centre and the face-to-face interview?

We recommend smart business wear — think polished, professional, and confident. It’s your chance to make a great first impression, so dress in a way that helps you feel your best.

What support is available during the recruitment and selection process?

If you have a disability, health condition, or are neurodiverse, we want to make sure you feel confident and supported throughout the process. Just let us know when you apply, and our recruitment team will work with you to understand your needs and arrange any reasonable adjustments to help you perform at your best. We’re here to help!

Will I receive feedback on my application?

We’ll keep you in the loop throughout your journey with us. At every stage of the selection process, we’ll let you know whether you’re moving forward. Because our Early Careers programmes are super popular, we’re only able to offer detailed feedback if you reach the assessment centre but aren’t successful.

Is there a set time of year when all new Technology Sales graduates start?

If you successfully complete the assessment centre, you’ll begin your exciting journey into the world of Technology Sales on 6 September 2027. Your first few days will include a joint induction with graduates from across the UK at Computacenter — a great chance to connect with your wider cohort, settle in, meet new people and start building your future with us.

Will I have an induction before I start?

Definitely. We get that stepping into a new role can feel overwhelming, so we’ve designed an induction experience that helps you feel confident from day one. You’ll join other successful applicants for a full introduction to Computacenter, giving you the chance to learn, connect and settle in together. It’s a brilliant way to meet your peers, build your network, and start making an impact straight away.

Where will I be based?

You’ll be based at either our Blackfriars office in London or our UK and Group Headquarters in Hatfield, Hertfordshire – both vibrant locations where you’ll be surrounded by experienced professionals and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.

Can I use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude when applying for the programme?

Yes, you can use AI tools to help you research Computacenter, learn more about the role, and prepare for assessments and interviews. However, your application should reflect your own experiences, skills, and motivations. We want to understand who you are and what you could bring to the programme, so any information you submit should be authentic and genuinely represent you.

We are an award winning employer!
