Join our IT Project Management graduate programme and help our Projects & Programmes Practice team deliver transformational IT projects for a wide range of customers. Whether you’re working on a dedicated customer account or across multiple projects, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle—developing real-world skills that matter in a collaborative, stimulating environment where your ideas are valued and your growth is supported.

Over 12 months, you’ll receive expert-led training, a full induction, and hands-on experience with key customer accounts, supported by experienced Lead Project Managers. You’ll be matched with a mentor and buddy, complete your PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner certifications, and take part in business rotations to build your network and understanding of Computacenter. On successful completion, you’ll step into a Project Manager role. And if you perform well, you’ll receive a salary review to recognise your achievements!

Key dates to keep in mind

Stage 1- Online Application

Just fill out our online application form, upload your CV, and answer a few quick questions to help us get to know you. Once we’ve received your application, we’ll take a look and see how your skills and interests match up with what we’re looking for. If everything lines up and you meet the programme criteria, we’ll invite you to complete an online assessment designed to explore your strengths and potential.

AT YOUR OWN PACE

Stage 2 - Competency Test

You’ll be invited to complete an online assessment designed to explore your potential and the key behaviours we look for in a successful member of our Project Management team. It’s flexible and self-paced, but must be completed by the deadline provided – so make sure to plan ahead and give it your best shot.

Stage 3 - Video Interview

Once you’ve completed our Competency Test, you’ll get a link to our video interview platform. You’ll then record a short video (around 3 minutes), answering 1–3 quick-fire questions — with up to 1 minute to respond to each. Once submitted, we’ll review your answers, and we then let you know if you’re moving forward to the next stage.

2- DAYS

The final stage - Assessment Centre

You’re nearly there! Our Assessment Centre is your next and final step, and it will take place at Computacenter’s UK and Group HQ in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Expect a fast-paced, interactive day filled with group challenges, individual tasks, interviews, and presentations — all designed to help you shine in front of our expert assessors from our Project Management team.

We’ll let you know the outcome within a week. If you’re successful, you’ll be set to kick-start your career in project management with us — working on real projects, learning from experienced professionals, and making a genuine impact from day one.

What qualifications do I need to apply?

We’re open-minded about your academic background. Got a degree or currently in your final year of university? Brilliant – any subject, any classification, you’re welcome to apply. What matters most is your drive to grow, learn, and make an impact.

What is the application deadline?

Applications for our 2026 intake are set to close by 5 December 2025 — but if we get lots of interest, we might close them earlier. So, if you’re thinking about applying, don’t hang around! Plus, the sooner you apply, the sooner you’ll move through the first stages of our selection process. It’s a great way to get ahead and start shaping your future with us!

How long will the selection process take?

We’ll run the initial stages of our selection process between September and December 2025. Once you’ve applied, you’ll be invited to complete a series of assessments to help us get to know you better.

If you’re successful at each stage, you’ll be invited to a final assessment centre, which will take place sometime in February or March 2026.

We know waiting can be tough, so we’ll keep you updated regularly and aim to keep things moving as quickly as we can.

What should I wear to the assessment centre?

We recommend smart business wear — think polished, professional, and confident. It’s your chance to make a great first impression, so dress in a way that helps you feel your best.

What support is available during the recruitment and selection process?

If you have a disability, health condition, or are neurodiverse, we want to make sure you feel confident and supported throughout the process. Just let us know when you apply, and our recruitment team will work with you to understand your needs and arrange any reasonable adjustments to help you perform at your best. We’re here to help!

Will I get feedback on my application?

We’ll keep you in the loop throughout your journey with us. At every stage of the selection process, we’ll let you know whether you’re moving forward. Because our Early Careers programmes are super popular, we’re only able to offer detailed feedback if you reach the assessment centre but aren’t successful.

Is there a set time of year when new starters begin?

Once you’ve successfully completed the assessment centre, you’ll kick off your exciting journey into the world of IT project management on 7 September 2026!

Will I have an induction before I start?

Definitely. We get that stepping into a new role can feel overwhelming, so we’ve designed an induction experience that helps you feel confident from day one. You’ll join other successful applicants for a full introduction to Computacenter, giving you the chance to learn, connect and settle in together. It’s a brilliant way to meet your peers, build your network, and start making an impact straight away.

Where will I be based?

Where you’ll be based depends on business needs and customer requirements. That said, we’ll always try to consider your current location and match you with customer sites closest to you where possible.

No matter where you’re placed, you’ll be part of a supportive team environment, with plenty of opportunities to collaborate, build connections, and grow your career—both on-site and beyond.

Can I work remotely?

At Computacenter, we offer a hybrid working approach, where individuals or teams split their time between working on-site—such as at a Computacenter office or customer location—and working remotely from home.

However, any hybrid arrangement depends on your role, your team, and what the business and our customers need. You’ll need to chat with your manager to see what’s possible.
