A comprehensive 16-month learning experience

You’ll get the ideal blend of theory and hands-on practice through on-the-job experience across key business areas. With structured rotations, mentoring and formal training, you’ll build the skills and confidence to succeed. As you complete the programme, you’ll be ready to step into a long-term career as an Account Manager or Sales Specialist – making a real impact from day one.

Sales qualification

As part of our Professional IT Sales Graduate & Associate Programme, you'll work towards a Level 3 IT Technical Sales qualification – with 80% of your learning happening on the job. You'll build core sales skills, develop your professional brand, master account management practices, and much more.

We offer two entry pathways onto our 2026 Professional IT Sales Graduate & Associate programme, depending on whether you’re a recent graduate or you’re an individual with 2-3 years’ experience in a sales or related environment (in which case a degree is not a requirement).

The programme

Our Professional IT Sales Graduate & Associate programme is built entirely around you. While the structure of the programme may vary slightly from one year to the next, here is an outline of what you can typically expect:

As well as equipping you with the technical product knowledge you’ll need to get started, the programme also focuses on developing your soft skills – from presenting and storytelling techniques to communicating with impact. You’ll receive regular feedback throughout your journey, helping you grow into a confident and capable sales professional.

This overview gives you a glimpse into the comprehensive training you’ll receive. While the programme is fast-paced and challenging, it’s also incredibly rewarding. And you won’t be doing it alone – you’ll be supported every step of the way. You won’t just learn about Computacenter; you’ll learn a lot about yourself too.

The Professional IT Sales Graduate & Associate programme is designed to stretch your thinking, build your confidence, and help you develop the skills that matter most - both professionally and personally.

Our selection process is more than just a step towards joining Computacenter - it’s a chance to explore what drives you, discover more about yourself, and connect with people who are passionate about making a difference. You’ll gain insights into our culture, values, and the kind of work we do, while also reflecting on your own strengths, ambitions, and potential.

What to expect and when: The initial stages of the selection process tend take place between September and December 2025, with assessment centres taking place in February and March 2026.

Stage 1- Online Application

Just fill out our online application form, upload your CV, and answer a few quick questions to help us get to know you. Once we’ve received your application, we’ll take a look and see how your skills and interests match up with what we’re looking for. If everything lines up and you meet the programme criteria, we’ll invite you to complete an online assessment designed to explore your strengths and potential.

Stage 2 - Competency Test

You’ll be invited to complete an online assessment designed to explore your potential and the key behaviours we look for in a successful salesperson at Computacenter.

3 MINUTES

Stage 3 - Video Interview

Once you’ve completed our Competency Test, you’ll get a link to our video interview platform. You’ll then record a short video (around 3 minutes), answering 1–3 quick-fire questions — with up to 1 minute to respond to each. Once submitted, we’ll review your answers, and we then let you know if you’re moving forward to the next stage.

1 HOUR

Stage 4 - Face-to-face Interview

Held at our Blackfriars office in London, this is your chance to meet one of our senior sales leaders, alongside a member of our Professional IT Sales Associate alumni – someone who’s stood exactly where you are now. The interview will be mainly competency-based, but we’ll also want to hear about your motivation, any previous sales experience, and your drive to succeed in a sales environment. It’s a great opportunity for you to get to know us better – and for us to get to know you. We’ll let you know whether you’ve progressed to the next stage as soon as possible after your interview.

2- DAYS

Stage 5 - Assessment Centre

You’re nearly there! The Assessment Centre is your final step – held at Computacenter’s UK and Group HQ in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The experience kicks off with an overnight stay, including dinner with our senior leadership team – a great chance to connect, ask questions and get inspired. The following day, you’ll take part in a fast-paced, interactive programme packed with group challenges, individual tasks, interviews and presentations. Everything is designed to help you showcase your strengths in front of expert assessors from our sales team.

What qualifications do I need to apply?

We’re open-minded about your academic background. Got a degree or currently in your final year of university? Brilliant – any subject, any classification, you’re welcome to apply. No degree, but have 2–3 years’ experience in sales or a related role? We’d love to hear from you too. What matters most is your drive to grow, learn, and make an impact.

Can I apply for a job if I don’t meet the academic requirements?

If you don’t hold a degree, that’s not a problem! We welcome applications from non-graduates for our Professional IT Sales Graduate & Associate Programme provided that you’ve 2-3 years’ relevant experience in sales or a related role.

What is the application deadline?

Applications for our 2026 intake are set to close by 5 December 2025 — but if we get lots of interest, we might close them earlier. So, if you’re thinking about applying, don’t hang around! Plus, the sooner you apply, the sooner you’ll move through the first stages of our selection process. It’s a great way to get ahead and start shaping your future with us!

How long does the selection process take?

We’ll run the initial stages of our selection process between September and December 2025. Once you’ve applied, you’ll be invited to complete a series of assessments to help us get to know you better.

If you’re successful at each stage, you’ll be invited to a final assessment centre, which will take place sometime in February or March 2026.

We know waiting can be tough, so we’ll keep you updated regularly and aim to keep things moving as quickly as we can.

What happens at an assessment centre?

The experience kicks off with an overnight stay, including dinner with our senior leadership team – a great chance to connect, ask questions and get inspired. The following day, you’ll take part in a fast-paced, interactive programme packed with group challenges, individual tasks, interviews and presentations.

What should I wear to the assessment centre?

We recommend smart business wear — think polished, professional, and confident. It’s your chance to make a great first impression, so dress in a way that helps you feel your best.

What support is available during the recruitment and selection process?

If you have a disability, health condition, or are neurodiverse, we want to make sure you feel confident and supported throughout the process. Just let us know when you apply, and our recruitment team will work with you to understand your needs and arrange any reasonable adjustments to help you perform at your best. We’re here to help!

Will I receive feedback on my application?

We’ll keep you in the loop throughout your journey with us. At every stage of the selection process, we’ll let you know whether you’re moving forward. Because our Early Careers programmes are super popular, we’re only able to offer detailed feedback if you reach the assessment centre but aren’t successful.

Is there a set time of year when all new Sales Associates start?

If you successfully complete the assessment centre, you’ll begin your exciting journey into the world of IT Sales on 7 September 2026—a great time to connect with your cohort, settle in, and start building your future.

Will I have an induction before I start?

Definitely. We get that stepping into a new role can feel overwhelming, so we’ve designed an induction experience that helps you feel confident from day one. You’ll join other successful applicants for a full introduction to Computacenter, giving you the chance to learn, connect and settle in together. It’s a brilliant way to meet your peers, build your network, and start making an impact straight away.

Where will I be based?

You’ll be based at either our Blackfriars office in London or our UK and Group Headquarters in Hatfield, Hertfordshire – both vibrant locations where you’ll be surrounded by experienced professionals and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
